Well I think I would start first by defining that which we mean by discipleship. And enjoy by that is purely somebody who’s following Jesus into ever-growing stations of faith. And what I think we tend to think – as soon as you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the center of men’s ministry? ” I think the default – in most men’s minds is, “How should i get men into some systematic Bible study? ” Together with again, nothing wrong your.

Yeah, say more this. ‘Cause I love the manner that you say which. Because sometimes guys can come to you, and they have a concept of what they look into men’s ministry as. And it’s a business, it’s a system, it’s a process. But then they miss one another side of it. That's how do we extremely mobilize men? Yeah so, what I hear you saying is that found . have a larger viewpoint of what men’s ministry is usually. Or a larger imaginative and prescient vision – not be consequently exclusive or myopic around saying, “It’s only some Bible study. And if numbers arrive at my Bible study, after that I’m successful. ” Or – if we've 100 men that arrive at a men’s retreat, after that we’re successful. It’s more about how are we mobilizing men over the church? We’re giving them opportunities to cultivate in their faith, by employing their gifts and studying service and projects and engagement while using whole church – not only on with us. That is a real healthier view, it appears like?
Absolutely. Yes. We have a man in our rec center named John, who out of production – I don’t know? 15 years ago out of teaching. Very vigorous fellow. And his ministry was to church camp. Where there are hundreds and hundreds associated with first-time decisions for Christ created every summer. And 1000s of re-dedication. And John started getting trips to Trout Lake to perform building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men within our church who go along with him. It’s very quiet, it’s under the radar. They go up there, and people do tremendous work. They’ve given literally huge amount of money of free labor. Skilled labor to the current camp. Where children come as they are saved and discipled. I mean – yeah, he’s some Bible student, but people don’t go and analyze the Bible.
