Well I think I will start first by defining that which you mean by discipleship. And what i mean by that is purely somebody who’s following Jesus straight into ever-growing stations of faith. And what I think we tend to think – as soon as you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the biggest market of men’s ministry? ” I think the default – in the majority of men’s minds is, “How must get men into some sort of systematic Bible study? ” And additionally again, nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, say more that. ‘Cause I love the manner in which that you say that. Because sometimes guys occurs to you, and they have a concept of what they think of men’s ministry as. And it’s an opportunity, it’s a system, it’s a task. But then they miss one other side of it. That's how do we definitely mobilize men? How do we cause them to embrace the lifestyle that Jesus lived, that is arranged in God’s word, but not see it as exclusively the system or a system. Or on the additional end, only as some sort of Bible study, right?

But I also plan to say that discipleship isn't up to the men’s ministry to perform. There – it happens in most, many other places. So in other words – let me say it in such a manner. The healthier the house of worship, the less footprint the men’s ministry will present – or prefer.

Yeah so, what I hear most people saying is that we need to have a larger view of what men’s ministry may be. Or a larger eye sight – not be consequently exclusive or myopic around saying, “It’s only some sort of Bible study. And if numbers found yourself in my Bible study, in that case I’m successful. ” Or – if you'll find 100 men that found yourself in a men’s retreat, in that case we’re successful. It’s more about how precisely precisely are we mobilizing men over the church? We’re giving them opportunities to nurture in their faith, by using their gifts and studying service and projects and engagement along with the whole church – not only on with us. That is actually a healthier view, it appears like?
Absolutely. Yes. We possess a man in our house of worship named John, who outdated – I don’t realize? 15 years ago with teaching. Very vigorous person. And his ministry was to the church camp. Where there is hundreds and hundreds associated with first-time decisions for Christ constructed every summer. And several thousand re-dedication. And John started using trips to Trout Lake to perform building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men in our church who go with him. It’s very quiet, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and these people do tremendous work. They’ve given literally millions of dollars of free labor. Skilled labor to the current camp. Where children come consequently they are saved and discipled. I mean – yeah, he’s some sort of Bible student, but these people don’t go and investigation the Bible.
