Every ministry with the church needs a strong vision, and men’s ministry is not a different. But do we understand the best version and expression from this? Well I think I would start first by defining that which you mean by discipleship. And the reason by that is easily somebody who’s following Jesus inside ever-growing stations of faith. And what I think we tend to think – after you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the center of men’s ministry? ” I think the default – practically in men’s minds is, “How can i get men into a good systematic Bible study? ” Along with again, nothing wrong with this.

Yeah, say more this. ‘Cause I love the manner that you say which. Because sometimes guys will come to you, and they also have a concept of what they imagine men’s ministry as. And it’s an opportunity, it’s a system, it’s an operation. But then they miss the other side of it. Which is how do we certainly mobilize men? How do we cause them to embrace the lifestyle which Jesus lived, that is outlined in God’s word, however is not see it as exclusively whether system or a course of action. Or on the additional end, only as a good Bible study, right?

But I also plan to say that discipleship is not up to the men’s ministry to do. There – it happens in lots of, many other places. So basically – let me say it with this. The healthier the house of worship, the less footprint the men’s ministry will have – or need to have.

Yeah so, what I hear everyone saying is that we should have a larger enjoy of what men’s ministry might. Or a larger idea – not be consequently exclusive or myopic on the subject of saying, “It’s only a good Bible study. And if numbers get to my Bible study, in that case I’m successful. ” Or – if you'll find 100 men that get to a men’s retreat, in that case we’re successful. It’s more about how are we mobilizing men during the entire church? We’re giving them opportunities to grow in their faith, using their gifts and looking at service and projects and engagement while using the whole church – not just with us. That is a real healthier view, it appears like?
Absolutely. Yes. We possess a man in our house of worship named John, who out of production – I don’t fully understand? 15 years ago from teaching. Very vigorous fellow. And his ministry was to our church camp. Where there are hundreds and hundreds associated with first-time decisions for Christ produced every summer. And tens of thousands of re-dedication. And John started getting trips to Trout Lake to do building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men within our church who go by means of him. It’s very silent, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and they will do tremendous work. They’ve given literally huge amounts of money of free labor. Skilled labor to this fact camp. Where children come and they are saved and discipled. Setting up – yeah, he’s a good Bible student, but they will don’t go and analyze the Bible.
