Well I think I would start first by defining cures mean by discipleship. And the reason by that is merely somebody who’s following Jesus towards ever-growing stations of faith. And what I do believe we tend to think – at the time you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the center of men’s ministry? ” I do believe the default – practically in men’s minds is, “How must get men into some systematic Bible study? ” And again, nothing wrong with this.

Yeah, say more with that. ‘Cause I love the best way that you say that will. Because sometimes guys occurs to you, and they've got a concept of what they think of men’s ministry as. And it’s an opportunity, it’s a system, it’s an activity. But then they miss one another side of it. That's how do we extremely mobilize men? How do we cause them to become embrace the lifestyle that will Jesus lived, that is outlined in God’s word, but not see it as exclusively either a system or a operation. Or on the many other end, only as some Bible study, right?

But I also prefer to say that discipleship is simply not up to the men’s ministry to do. There – it happens in many, many other places. So this means that – let me say it like this. The healthier the house of worship, the less footprint the men’s ministry will have – or require.

Yeah so, what I hear anyone saying is that we need to have a larger see of what men’s ministry is usually. Or a larger imaginative and prescient vision – not be thus exclusive or myopic about saying, “It’s only some Bible study. And if numbers found yourself in my Bible study, subsequently I’m successful. ” Or – if you'll find 100 men that found yourself in a men’s retreat, subsequently we’re successful. It’s more about how are we mobilizing men throughout the church? We’re giving them opportunities to nurture in their faith, by utilizing their gifts and studying service and projects and engagement while using whole church – not with us. That is a real healthier view, it appears like?
Absolutely. Yes. We have a man in our house of worship named John, who retired – I don’t realize? 15 years ago because of teaching. Very vigorous man. And his ministry was to your church camp. Where there are hundreds and hundreds of first-time decisions for Christ built every summer. And several thousand re-dedication. And John started choosing trips to Trout Lake to do building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men in this church who go by means of him. It’s very restful, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and they do tremendous work. They’ve given literally vast amounts of free labor. Skilled labor to the camp. Where children come and they are saved and discipled. I am talking about – yeah, he’s some Bible student, but they don’t go and investigation the Bible.
