Every ministry for the church needs a effective vision, and men’s ministry is not any different. But do we understand the best version and expression of this? Well I think I should start first by defining cures mean by discipleship. And enjoy by that is purely somebody who’s following Jesus straight into ever-growing stations of faith. And what I believe we tend to think – at the time you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the biggest market of men’s ministry? ” I believe the default – in the majority of men’s minds is, “How should i get men into a systematic Bible study? ” Together with again, nothing wrong to be able.

Yeah so, what I hear people saying is that we should have a larger viewpoint of what men’s ministry may be. Or a larger eyesight – not be consequently exclusive or myopic around saying, “It’s only a Bible study. And if numbers arrive at my Bible study, in that case I’m successful. ” Or – if we now have 100 men that arrive at a men’s retreat, in that case we’re successful. It’s more precisely how are we mobilizing men during the entire church? We’re giving them opportunities growing in their faith, through the use of their gifts and searching service and projects and engagement while using the whole church – not only on with us. That is indeed a healthier view, it sounds like?
Absolutely. Yes. We have a man in our church named John, who out of production – I don’t find out? 15 years ago with teaching. Very vigorous chap. And his ministry was to our church camp. Where there are hundreds and hundreds associated with first-time decisions for Christ made every summer. And several thousand re-dedication. And John started getting trips to Trout Lake to perform building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men in this church who go by using him. It’s very quiet, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and these people do tremendous work. They’ve given literally quantities of free labor. Skilled labor to this fact camp. Where children come consequently they are saved and discipled. Air cleaner will add – yeah, he’s a Bible student, but these people don’t go and go through the Bible.
