Every ministry with the church needs a robust vision, and men’s ministry is not any different. But do we understand the best version and expression with this? Well I think I would start first by defining cures mean by discipleship. And what i'm saying by that is just somebody who’s following Jesus straight into ever-growing stations of faith. And what I'm sure we tend to think – when you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be the midst of men’s ministry? ” I'm sure the default – in all of the men’s minds is, “How must get men into some systematic Bible study? ” Together with again, nothing wrong your.

Yeah, say more that. ‘Cause I love the manner in which that you say which. Because sometimes guys will happen to you, and they've already a concept of what they imagine men’s ministry as. And it’s a business, it’s a system, it’s an operation. But then they miss other side of it. Which is how do we really mobilize men? How do we get them to embrace the lifestyle which Jesus lived, that is put forth in God’s word, and not see it as exclusively the system or a system. Or on the various end, only as some Bible study, right?

But I also just want to say that discipleship is not up to the men’s ministry you need to do. There – it happens during the course of, many other places. So in other words – let me say it in such a manner. The healthier the church, the less footprint the men’s ministry are going to have – or prefer.

Yeah so, what I hear most people saying is that we need to have a larger enjoy of what men’s ministry might. Or a larger eye sight – not be thus exclusive or myopic concerning saying, “It’s only some Bible study. And if numbers get to my Bible study, in that case I’m successful. ” Or – if we've 100 men that get to a men’s retreat, in that case we’re successful. It’s more precisely how are we mobilizing men through the entire church? We’re giving them opportunities growing in their faith, by employing their gifts and searching service and projects and engagement while using whole church – not only with us. That really is a healthier view, it actually sounds like?
Absolutely. Yes. We possess a man in our church named John, who out of production – I don’t fully understand? 15 years ago because of teaching. Very vigorous chap. And his ministry was to your church camp. Where you can find hundreds and hundreds involving first-time decisions for Christ made every summer. And thousands of re-dedication. And John started spending trips to Trout Lake you need to do building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men in this particular church who go by using him. It’s very silent, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and these people do tremendous work. They’ve given literally huge amount of money of free labor. Skilled labor to the camp. Where children come as they are saved and discipled. Setting up – yeah, he’s some Bible student, but these people don’t go and go through the Bible.
