Every ministry for the church needs a strong vision, and men’s ministry is no different. But do we understand the very best version and expression of that? Well I think I would start first by defining that which we mean by discipleship. And the reason by that is just somebody who’s following Jesus towards ever-growing stations of faith. And what I'm sure we tend to think – when you pose the question, “Why should discipleship be center of men’s ministry? ” I'm sure the default – in most men’s minds is, “How do i get men into some systematic Bible study? ” Along with again, nothing wrong to be able.

Yeah, say more about this. ‘Cause I love the way in which that you say of which. Because sometimes guys arrives to you, and they also have a concept of what they think of men’s ministry as. And it’s a treatment program, it’s a system, it’s a process. But then they miss other side of it. That's how do we certainly mobilize men? Yeah so, what I hear everyone saying is that we need to have a larger view of what men’s ministry could be. Or a larger eye sight – not be so exclusive or myopic concerning saying, “It’s only some Bible study. And if numbers get to my Bible study, then I’m successful. ” Or – if there is 100 men that get to a men’s retreat, then we’re successful. It’s more about how are we mobilizing men during the entire church? We’re giving them opportunities growing in their faith, by using their gifts and looking at service and projects and engagement along with the whole church – not just for with us. That is a real healthier view, it appears like?
Absolutely. Yes. We have got a man in our rec center named John, who introduced – I don’t discover? 15 years ago from teaching. Very vigorous guy. And his ministry was to the church camp. Where there is hundreds and hundreds from first-time decisions for Christ produced every summer. And several thousand re-dedication. And John started taking trips to Trout Lake to complete building up there. And he’s probably got 30 men within our church who go by means of him. It’s very hushed, it’s under the radar. Each goes up there, and they do tremendous work. They’ve given literally vast amounts of free labor. Skilled labor to the camp. Where children come and are saved and discipled. I mean – yeah, he’s some Bible student, but they don’t go and investigation the Bible.
